Our basic family trip is up to 4 hours. It is trolling only just off the gulf shores. These fishing trips are designed for first timers, family, kids and people who may be tight on time or tight on their budget. We fish for King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, seasonal Cobia and Seasonal Redfish. Our light tackle allows you to feel the fish fight. This type of fishing requires customers take turns reeling them in. During the summer months, these trips are usually very productive. June, July and August, we are offering three trips daily departing at 6:30, 11:00 and 3:30 pm. If you don't want to stay the full four hours, let us know and we can head back in. Your in control and we understand that not everyone wants to spend a lot of time deep sea fishing. Your fishing trip can be as short as you want it. Our most popular family Bottom fishing trips we offer are up to 6 hours. We troll out to the artificial reefs and then let everyone hold a pole and drop a bait down below the charter boat. Everyone fishes at the same time. The most common fish is the Red Snapper and they fight real hard. You will have a blast deep sea fishing with our light tackle. The tackle is light and does not wear our customers out. The fish might wear you out, but the light tackle allows you to feel the fight. Those Red Snappers fight hard. You will be amazed at how hard they pull. Can you imagine laughing the whole time your reeling one in? Can you imagine catching a fish almost everytime you drop your line? During May, June, July, August and September, we are offering two trips daily departing at 6:30 and 1:30pm. If 6 hours is too much time for you, let us know, if you want to come back in early. We have a minimum fee for the six hour trip. It's your decision. The fee guarantees you up to six hours.
Want to fish longer than 6 hours? If you would like to head out away from our gulf shores and deep sea fish for eight, ten or twelve hours, just let us know on our reservations page and we will gladly assist you. We have a minimum fee that guarantees your hours booked. If you want to stay longer than your scheduled trip, it's ok by us as long as we don't have another trip booked that day. Let us know! We will be glad to keep you fishing with our exclusive Stay Longer Program. We can only fish a maximum of 12 hours any day.

Distraction Charter Boat is a 41' custom built Hatteras. It offers casual elegance and a clean sitting and sleeping area. It has a kitchen and a modern bathroom. It has a climate controlled sitting area where you can escape the action and cool down. You will not miss a thing by going inside. We have two large doors that offer a birdseye view of the back deck where all the action is taking place. Guest are welcome upstairs in the wheelhouse. Kids can even help drive the boat.
